Unteres Schloss Vellberg, also known as Burg Vellberg, is a historic castle complex located in the medieval town of Vellberg in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Originally built around 1200 by the Lords of Vellberg, it occupies a prominent position above a bend of the Bühler River and served as the center of local noble power for centuries. The castle was partly destroyed in 1523 during a campaign by the Swabian League against castles associated with the robber knight Hans Thomas von Absberg. It was rebuilt between 1543 and 1546 in a Renaissance style, giving the complex much of its present appearance.

Today, the Unteres Schloss is one of Vellberg’s most important landmarks. It features historic frescoes, a Gothic castle chapel, and one of the oldest hedge gardens in Europe. The beautifully preserved complex reflects both the medieval and Renaissance history of the region and remains a key attraction within Vellberg’s historic old town.
