Uraz is a village in southwestern Poland's Lower Silesian Voivodeship, within Trzebnica County and Gmina Oborniki Śląskie, situated along the Odra River about 25 km northwest of Wrocław.
First mentioned around 1203–1218 as a princely settlement owned by the dukes of Wrocław, it featured a mid-13th-century fortified gród managed by a castellan guarding the river ford. Around 1319, knight Andreas Radak built a triangular stone-brick castle using bog iron, which passed through hands like.
The Czirn family and Christoph von Skoppe; granted town rights by 1466, it thrived until heavy WWII destruction in 1945 led to town status revocation.
