The Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology in Georgetown, Guyana, founded in 1974 and opened to the public in 1982, is the oldest anthropology museum in the English-speaking Caribbean.

Housed in a historic late 19th to early 20th-century colonial timber building, it was established by the Guyanese government to collect, preserve, and exhibit artifacts related to the Indigenous peoples of Guyana. The museum’s collections include archaeological and ethnographic items such as pottery, weapons, textiles, and traditional tools representing all ten administrative regions of Guyana.
