Wasserburg Rieshofen is a medieval moated castle ruin located in the village of Rieshofen, part of Walting in Bavaria, Germany.

The castle was likely built around 1290 as the residence of the Lords of Rieshofen, a local noble family that served the Prince-Bishopric of Eichstätt. Over time, the castle lost its strategic importance and had already fallen into ruin by the 16th century. Today, the most prominent surviving feature is its 18-meter-high stone keep, known as the “Hungerturm” (Hunger Tower), along with remnants of the surrounding walls and moat.

The site has been partially restored and preserved as a historical monument. Surrounded by the scenic Altmühl Valley landscape, it offers visitors a glimpse into the region’s medieval past and remains one of the notable heritage landmarks in the Walting area.
