Weilerburg, also known historically as Alt‑Rotenburg, is a medieval hilltop castle ruin located on the 555‑meter‑high Rotenberg above the Rottenburg‑am‑Neckar district of Weiler in Baden‑Württemberg, Germany.

The fortress was built around 1200 as a Höhenburg for the counts of Hohenberg, who later used the name “Herren von Rotenburg,” and served as their seat until the end of the 13th century; it was then destroyed in 1407 and its remains later used as a quarry for other buildings.

Today almost no original medieval walls remain, but the site is marked by a 19th‑century stone tower built in 1873–74 on the former Bergfried location, which now functions as a popular observation and leisure spot in the Rottenburger Stadtwald. The area is run by the local Alpine Club section, offers a grill area and refreshments, and provides sweeping views over the Neckar valley, the Gäu countryside, and the Albtrauf of the Swabian Jura.
