Zabór is a village in western Poland's Lubusz Voivodeship, in Zielona Góra County, serving as the seat of Gmina Zabór about 15 km east of Zielona Góra near Liwno Wielkie Lake amid forested areas.
Part of early Polish state since the 10th century under Piasts and Jagiellons until 1506, first mentioned as Saborin in the early 14th century—meaning "behind the pine forest"—it gained town rights in 1556 under the Tschammer family but remained rural.
Its highlight is the 1677 Baroque castle built by Johann Heinrich von Dünewald in French-inspired horseshoe style with a moat, later owned by Cosel and Schönaich-Carolath nobles (including Wilhelm II's widow until 1945), now a children's sanatorium within a park.
