Arborétum Mlyňany SAV is the most significant dendrological park and protected area in Slovakia, covering 67 hectares between the villages of Tesárske Mlyňany and Vieska nad Žitavou in the Zlaté Moravce district, south of Zlaté Moraviec.
Founded in 1892 by Hungarian nobleman Dr. Štefan Ambrózy-Migazzi and declared a protected area in 1951, it is now a scientific institution of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and holds the richest and most valuable collection of exotic, especially evergreen, trees in Slovakia.
The arboretum houses more than 2,300 tree species from the Mediterranean, America, Africa, and Asia, particularly from eastern Asia, Korea, and North America, making it one of the largest dendrological facilities in Central Europe.
