Buštěhrad Chateau
Buštěhrad, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Buštěhrad Chateau is a Baroque chateau in the town of Buštěhrad near Kladno, northwest of Prague. It was built at the turn of the 18th century and later rebuilt in an Empire style, and it is especially known for its long and varied history, including a period when the exiled French king Charles X stayed there. Today the building is still important as a local landmark, but parts of it have been damaged or neglected over time, so restoration has been an ongoing issue. Even so, it remains one of the main historic sights in Buštěhrad and a notable example of the town’s noble past.
