Castle Ruins Kamýk
Kamýk nad Vltavou, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Castle Ruins Kamýk, also known as Vrškamýk, are the remains of a medieval royal castle above Kamýk nad Vltavou in central Czechia. Built in the 13th century and once an important administrative stronghold, it was later abandoned and now survives as partial walls and ruins on a hill with views over the Vltava valley. The site is open to visitors and has been stabilized with walking paths and information panels, so it is both a historical landmark and an easy short excursion in the area.
