Chateau Jaroměřice
Jaroměřice, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Chateau Jaroměřice is a grand Baroque château in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou in the Vysočina region of Czechia.
It grew out of an older fortress and was rebuilt in the 18th century into such an impressive complex that it is often called the “Moravian Versailles”. The château is especially known for its strong musical tradition: the first Czech opera was performed there in 1730, and it still hosts cultural events and the Peter Dvorský International Opera Festival today.
