Chlum Castle

Chlum Castle is a ruined medieval castle in the village of Chlum, about 3 km southeast of Zbýšov in Central Bohemia. It was founded in the late 13th century, later enlarged in the 15th century, and then damaged during the Thirty Years’ War, after which it fell into ruin. Today only a few remains survive, including part of the south tower, a corner of the palace, and some rock-cut cellar rooms. The site is protected as a cultural monument and is freely accessible to visitors.
