Církvice is a small municipality and village in the Kutná Hora District of the Central Bohemian Region in Czechia, home to around 1,300 inhabitants amid the historic silver-mining landscapes near the UNESCO-listed town of Kutná Hora.
It features the Church of Saint James the Great in the hamlet of Jakub, one of Czechia's most significant Romanesque structures built between 1148 and 1165, later restored in 1872–1874 to its original form with unique preserved sculptural decorations and protected as a national cultural monument.
The village also preserves the 13th-century Church of Saint Lawrence, first documented in 1352 and rebuilt in Baroque style during the 17th century, alongside an early Baroque rectory, blending medieval heritage with rural charm.
