Gorkhi Terelj National Park, located in Töv Province about 60 to 70 kilometers northeast of Ulaanbaatar, is one of Mongolia’s most popular and easily accessible national parks.

Known for its dramatic granite rock formations, rolling grasslands, forested mountains, and scenic river valleys, the park offers a classic view of Mongolia’s natural beauty. Visitors are drawn to famous landmarks such as Turtle Rock and the Ariyabal Meditation Temple, as well as opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and experiencing traditional Mongolian nomadic culture in ger camps.
