Hluboká Castle

Hluboká nad Vltavou, South Bohemia, Czech Republic (Czechia)

---

Hluboká Castle, located in Hluboká nad Vltavou in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, is one of the country's most beautiful and famous castles.

Originally founded as a Gothic fortress in the 13th century, it was rebuilt several times before being transformed into its present romantic Neo-Gothic appearance in the 19th century. The castle was owned by the influential Schwarzenberg family, who remodeled it in a style inspired by Windsor Castle in England.

Its striking white façade, elegant towers, richly decorated interiors, and extensive English-style park give it a fairytale-like appearance. Today, Hluboká Castle is one of the most visited historic landmarks in the Czech Republic, attracting visitors with its grand rooms, art collections, gardens, and impressive architecture that reflects centuries of aristocratic history.
