Hrad Brada
Brada-Rybníček, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Hrad Brada is a small medieval ruin near Brada-Rybníček, close to Jičín in Czechia.
It was founded in the mid-13th century, later lost its importance, and had already fallen into ruin by around 1500, so today only very slight traces remain on the hilltop. The site is known for its historic hill position and for being part of the Český ráj area. It also became a symbolic place again in 1866, when artillery was placed there during the Prussian-Austrian War, and today it is a quiet spot for walking and short visits.
