Jardín Botánico Atlántico is a large botanical garden on the outskirts of Gijón, Asturias, created in 2003 as an open-air “plant museum” focused on the flora and vegetation of Atlantic regions, especially northern Spain’s coast.

Covering about 16–25 hectares and housing around 30,000 plants from over 2,000–2,500 species, it is organised into several themed areas such as the Cantabrian environment, an “Atlantic route,” a plant-use or “plant factory” zone, and the historic romantic garden of La Isla, allowing visitors to explore different Atlantic landscapes and plant uses along well-signed paths.

The garden combines conservation, education, and leisure, with features like a lake, a maze, rare endemic plants, interpretive exhibits, and a small museum with seed collections, while also hosting guided tours and cultural events such as music festivals and seasonal activities throughout the year.
