Jardí Botànic Marimurtra is a Mediterranean botanical garden in Blanes, on Spain’s Costa Brava, laid out dramatically on cliffs above the sea with sweeping views of the coastline.

Founded in the 1920s by the German businessman and naturalist Carl (Carles) Faust as a center for botanical study and education, it now covers about 15–16 hectares, of which roughly a third is open to visitors. The garden cultivates more than 4,000 plant species from five continents, with notable collections of cacti and other succulents from arid regions of South Africa and the Americas, alongside Mediterranean and subtropical plant groupings.

In addition to its living collections, Marimurtra maintains a small herbarium, seed collections, a specialized library, experimental plots, and a meteorological station, reflecting its dual role as both a scientific and educational institution.
