Covering about 450 acres, it is known for its scenic beach, extensive mangrove swamp, and a lagoon that serves as a vital habitat for many bird species, including the striking Scarlet Ibis and herons.

The park protects rich coastal wetlands, coral reefs, and sea grass beds that support marine life such as lobsters and colorful reef fish. From March to July, endangered leatherback turtles come to Levera Beach to nest, and visitors can join night tours to witness this special natural event.

The park also features walking trails and a boardwalk over the lagoon, offering peaceful opportunities to enjoy nature, birdwatch, and take in stunning views of the nearby offshore islands.
