Home to around 900 to 950 residents primarily engaged in fishing and traditional wooden boat-building, it features hilly terrain rising to Piton Hill at 750 feet, offering panoramic views of nearby Grenadines like Petit St. Vincent and Union Island, along with cultural traditions such as the Whitsuntide Regatta and the historic "Sugaring of the Piton" maroon feast.
