Loket Castle is a well-preserved medieval fortress in the town of Loket in western Czechia, near Karlovy Vary.
It was founded in the 12th or 13th century on a rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the Ohře River, which made it a strong defensive site. Over time, it was rebuilt in Gothic and later styles, and it also served as a prison for many years. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction with historic interiors, exhibitions, and wide views over the old town and river valley.
