Situated on the Prague Plateau with its southeastern edge reaching 407 meters elevation in the Benešov Uplands, it lies along the Chomutovický potok brook that feeds two small fishponds amid flat agricultural landscapes.
Known primarily for its large industrial zone, the area also includes the nearby settlement of Doubravice and supports a quiet rural community close to Říčany and Jesenice.
