Náchod Castle
Náchod, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Náchod Castle is a large hilltop castle and chateau complex above the town of Náchod in northeastern Czechia, first founded in the 13th century as a Gothic fortress.
It was gradually rebuilt in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, so today it combines defensive medieval parts with more elegant residential architecture. The castle is famous for its five connected courtyards, its park on the castle hill, and its rich interiors with historic tapestries, paintings, and collections from later noble owners.
