Neuberg
Podhradí, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Neuberg, also known as Podhradí u Aše, is a small village in western Czechia near the town of Aš in the Cheb District.
It is best known for the ruins of Neuberg Castle, a medieval site from the early 13th century, where only a 22-meter round tower still survives today. The place has a long feudal history and was an important local center in the Middle Ages.
After damage, fires, and later decline, the castle was abandoned, and today the village is a quiet heritage spot associated with one of the oldest monuments in the Aš region.
