Royal Botanic Garden Juan Carlos I is a large university botanical garden located on the campus of the University of Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid, and was developed from around 1990–1994 as a major project for plant research, conservation and public education.

Covering about 26 hectares (roughly 70 acres), it includes extensive scientific and ornamental collections organised into themed areas such as a taxonomic garden with over three thousand plant taxa, experimental plots, a seed bank, and display zones that showcase flora from different regions and habitats, making it an important living laboratory and teaching resource.

The garden has four main missions—environmental education, scientific research, conservation of threatened species and recreational use—offering guided visits, workshops, outreach events and open days while also providing a large green space where visitors can walk, learn about plants and reconnect with nature within the university setting.
