Levý Hradec is an early medieval fortified settlement in Roztoky, just northwest of Prague, and it is one of the most important sites from the earliest Czech history.
It is closely connected with Prince Bořivoj I and is traditionally linked to the first Christian church in Bohemia, the rotunda of St. Clement. Today, the site is protected as a national cultural monument and is valued for both its archaeological significance and its symbolic role in the beginnings of the Czech state.
