Sion Castle Ruins
Chlístovice, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Sion Castle Ruins are the remains of a 15th-century Gothic castle near Chlístovice, not far from Kutná Hora in central Czechia. It was built by the Hussite leader Jan Roháč of Dubá, used only briefly, and then captured and destroyed after a long siege in 1437. Today, only parts of the walls, basement stones, arches, and stairs remain, but the site is still important for Czech history and archaeology. It is set in a quiet, wooded landscape and is open to visitors year-round.
