Tanners' Bridge (Ura e Tabakëve) is a well-preserved 18th-century Ottoman stone footbridge located in the center of Tirana, Albania. Built as part of an important trade route connecting the city with the eastern highlands, it was once used by merchants, farmers, and leather workers who brought goods and livestock into the town. The bridge takes its name from the nearby tanners and leather craftsmen who worked in the area. It originally crossed the Lanë River, but after the river was diverted in the 1930s, the bridge lost its transportation role and later fell into disrepair. It was carefully restored in the 1990s and is now reserved for pedestrians. Today, Tanners' Bridge is one of the few surviving examples of Ottoman-era infrastructure in Tirana and serves as a reminder of the city’s historical development. Its distinctive stone arches and historical significance make it a popular cultural landmark and tourist attraction.
