Tuynhuys is the official Cape Town residence and office of the President of South Africa, located beside the Company’s Garden and next to Parliament in the city center.
The building began as a Dutch East India Company guesthouse in the early 1700s and later served as the residence of colonial governors before becoming the presidential residence in 1961.
