Valeč Chateau
Valeč, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Valeč Chateau is a Baroque palace in western Czechia, in the Karlovy Vary region, known for its elegant architecture and landscaped grounds.
It was rebuilt in the early 18th century on the site of an older fortified residence, and today the complex is partly restored and open to visitors. The chateau’s park is one of its biggest attractions, with sculptures by Matthias Bernard Braun and traces of the original Baroque garden design still visible.
Even after a fire in 1976 damaged much of the building, Valeč remains an important heritage site because of its architecture, art collection, and historic atmosphere.
