Veltrusy Chateau
Veltrusy, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Veltrusy Chateau is a Baroque summer residence near Prague in central Bohemia, built for the Chotek family in the early 18th century and later reshaped in a classical style while keeping its Baroque character.
It is especially known for its large landscape park, once among the biggest in Central Europe, designed as a decorative working estate that blends architecture, gardens, fields, and waterways into one setting. Today the chateau and park are public heritage sites, valued both for their architecture and for the romantic natural setting along the Vltava River.
