Vysoký Chlumec Castle
Vysoký Chlumec, Czechia, Czech Republic (Czechia)
Vysoký Chlumec Castle is a well-preserved medieval hilltop castle above the market town of Vysoký Chlumec in Central Bohemia.
It was built in the late 14th century, later rebuilt into a more comfortable château-style residence, and for centuries belonged to the noble Lobkowicz family. After 1992 it was restored and is now a private home of the Arco-Zinneberg family. From the outside it remains a strong visual landmark, with its compact buildings and tower standing on a granite hill and overlooking the surrounding rural landscape.
