Zámek Hostivice is a Baroque château located on Husovo Square in the center of Hostivice, a town just west of Prague in the Czech Republic. The building was originally constructed as an early Baroque manor in the late 17th century and was extensively rebuilt between 1734 and 1736, becoming the elegant two-story château seen today. The château is known for its historic frescoes, including artwork depicting the Battle of White Mountain, and it remains one of the town’s most important cultural landmarks. In front of the building stands a notable sandstone Marian column dating from 1734, decorated with statues of saints. After serving various administrative and agricultural purposes over the centuries, the château was restored in the late 20th century. Today, it functions as Hostivice’s town hall and also hosts exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events, making it both a historic monument and an active part of community life.
