Zámek Pardubice is a large Renaissance castle in the center of Pardubice, built on the site of an older medieval moated fortress.
It was transformed by the Pernštejn family into one of the most important Renaissance residences in Czechia, and today it houses the East Bohemian Museum. The castle is especially known for its massive defensive earthworks, elegant interior halls, and its role as a major cultural landmark of the city. It is also protected as a national cultural monument and remains one of Pardubice’s most important historical sights.
