The ruins of Náměšť na Hané are the remains of a medieval castle that stood above the Šumice stream on the edge of the town.

First mentioned in 1423, the castle was damaged in the Hussite wars, later abandoned, and eventually dismantled for building stone, so only low walls and traces of the moat survive today.
