The Philippines has a tropical climate with a distinct wet and dry season. Its landscapes range from mountains and rainforests to beaches and coral reefs. The majority religion is Roman Catholicism due to more than three centuries of Spanish colonization, making it one of the only Catholic-majority countries in Asia.
