Berg Castle
Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Berg Castle is the principal residence of the Grand Duke and Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg, located in the town of Colmar-Berg in central Luxembourg.
The estate became associated with the Luxembourg monarchy in 1845 when Grand Duke William II acquired it as an official residence. The current castle was built between 1907 and 1911 after the previous structure was demolished.
Designed by architects Max Ostenrieder and Pierre Funck-Eydt, it features an impressive neo-Gothic-inspired style and has served as the primary home of Luxembourg’s ruling family ever since. Berg Castle is one of the most important symbols of Luxembourg’s monarchy and national heritage.
