Bornem Castle, also known as Castle Marnix de Sainte-Aldegonde, is a historic country house in Bornem, Belgium, dating back to the 10th or 11th century when it began as a wooden guard tower to defend against Viking invasions.

Over the centuries, it has been rebuilt and expanded, with the current structure mainly from the 16th century, showcasing elegant Louis XV and Louis XVI styles with Italian influences. The castle is surrounded by a scenic park with turrets, a moat, and charming outbuildings, resembling a fairy tale setting.

It has been home to the de Marnix family for centuries and houses valuable art collections, including engravings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. The castle reflects the region’s rich history and aristocratic heritage, and part of it is open to the public for tours and cultural events.
