Castello d'Agogna is a small historic village in the Lomellina region of Lombardy, named after the nearby Agogna stream and the medieval castle that stands at its center.

The settlement has ancient origins, with roots stretching back to Roman times, and it developed around a strategic fortified site that later became an important local stronghold. During the Middle Ages, the area belonged to the Abbey of Santa Croce in Mortara and later became a feudal possession within the Duchy of Milan.

Its castle passed through the hands of several noble families and gradually evolved from a defensive fortress into a noble residence. Today, Castello d'Agogna is known for its peaceful rural setting among the rice fields of Lomellina and for the historic Isimbardi Castle, a well-preserved landmark that reflects centuries of local history and architectural heritage.
