Castello di Rivalta is a magnificent medieval fortress located on a bluff above the Trebbia River near Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna.

First documented in 1025, the castle occupied a strategic position controlling access to the Trebbia Valley and was owned for centuries by the powerful Landi family before passing to the Zanardi Landi branch, which still owns it today. Over the centuries, the castle was destroyed, rebuilt, expanded, and transformed from a military stronghold into an elegant noble residence.

Its architecture blends medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and neoclassical elements, and many of its richly furnished rooms remain preserved. Surrounded by a charming historic village and parkland, Castello di Rivalta is considered one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Emilia-Romagna and remains a major cultural and tourist landmark.
