Castello di Rovasenda, located in Rovasenda, Italy, was originally built in 1170 by Alberto di Rovasenda for military defense. Over time, it evolved into a noble residence, with notable expansions in the 15th century including the addition of a 48-meter-high, seven-story square tower. The castle features Renaissance architectural elements such as frescoed rooms, coffered ceilings, and broad arches.

It suffered damage in 1667 during a conflict between the Spanish and the Savoy and was also struck by lightning in 1721, which caused significant cracks repaired only in the 20th century. In the early 1900s, a new castle mimicking the original was built nearby by Count Luigi Casimiro di Rovasenda after a family dispute over inheritance.

Today, the original castle retains its medieval structure but the interiors have been adapted for various uses, and the site reflects a rich history blending military and noble residential functions across centuries.
