Marčan, Croatia, Croatia
Castle Opeka, also known as Opeka Manor, is a historic castle located in the village of Marčan near Vinica in northern Croatia.
Built in the late 17th century by the noble Keglević family, it later passed through the hands of the Drašković and Bombelles families, who expanded and redesigned it into an elegant aristocratic residence. The arboretum is considered one of the finest and most valuable historic parks in Croatia. Today, Castle Opeka and its arboretum are important cultural and natural heritage sites. Following major restoration efforts, the estate has regained much of its former grandeur and remains a popular destination for visitors interested in history, architecture, and gardens.
