Château de Meysembourg is a picturesque castle located about 2 kilometers southwest of Larochette in central Luxembourg.

Although the site’s history dates back to the 12th century and was associated with the influential Meysembourg family, the current castle was built in 1880 in an elegant Neo-Renaissance style by the Prince of Arenberg. The original medieval castle was destroyed several times during conflicts, including in 1443 and again in the 1680s.

Today, only a few remnants of the earlier fortress, such as the chapel, moat, and parts of the outer wall, survive alongside the newer château. Surrounded by woodland and scenic countryside, Château de Meysembourg is one of Luxembourg’s most attractive historic estates.
