Churburg, known in Italian as Castel Coira, is a magnificent medieval castle located above the village of Schluderns in South Tyrol, northern Italy.

Built in the mid-13th century, it is considered one of the best-preserved castles in the region and has been owned by the noble Trapp family for more than 500 years. Originally a fortified stronghold, the castle was gradually transformed into an elegant Renaissance residence while retaining its defensive character.

It is especially famous for its beautifully decorated arcades, chapel, historic rooms, and the world's largest private collection of armor, featuring dozens of remarkably preserved suits of armor. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Vinschgau Valley and the surrounding mountains, Churburg is one of South Tyrol’s most important cultural landmarks.
