Cozzo is a small town in the Lomellina area of Lombardy, in the Province of Pavia, with a history that stretches back to Roman times.

Known in antiquity as Cuttiae, it was an important stopping point on routes linking northern Italy to Gaul, where travelers could change horses and continue their journeys across the Alps. During the Middle Ages, Cozzo was contested by regional powers before becoming part of the territory controlled by Pavia.

The town later came under the ownership of noble families and developed around its castle, a fortified structure whose origins likely date to the 11th century and which remains one of its most notable historic landmarks. Today, Cozzo is a quiet rural community surrounded by the agricultural landscapes of western Lombardy. Although small in size, it is valued for its ancient origins, historic castle, and connection to the rich cultural heritage of the Lomellina region.
