Crucoli is a small town in the province of Crotone, in the Calabria region of southern Italy, located inland at about 380 meters above sea level.

It is a traditional agricultural community where the economy is based on growing olive oil, wine, cereals, citrus fruits, and raising livestock, giving it a quiet, countryside feel rather than a busy urban atmosphere. The town is also known for its historic center, local crafts such as woven textiles and wicker work, and the production of a distinctive salted fish spread called “sardella,” which has become a local culinary specialty.

Crucoli is close enough to the Ionian coast that many visitors use it as a base for day trips to nearby beaches and seaside resorts, while still enjoying the slower pace and authentic flavors of a Calabrian hill town.
