The Ecaussines-Lalaing Fortified Castle in Écaussinnes, Belgium, dates back to the 12th century when Baldwin V, Count of Hainaut, built the original fortress.

Over the centuries, the castle was enlarged and transformed by the lords of Écaussinnes and later the Lalaing family, who shaped its medieval character and added 17th and 18th-century enhancements. The castle retains thick stone walls, a gated keep, and authentic medieval features such as a kitchen, dungeon, chapel, and armory on the ground floor.
