Giulianova is a lively seaside town in the Abruzzo region of Italy, in the province of Teramo on the Adriatic coast, that combines a historic hilltop center with a well-developed beach area, making it popular for summer holidays.

Founded in its current form in 1471 and built on the site of an ancient Roman colony called Castrum Novum from the 3rd century BC, the town is divided into two distinct parts: Giulianova Alta, the 15th-century Old Town perched on a hill with narrow lanes, churches, museums, and elegant piazzas, and Giulianova Lido, the seaside district with golden beaches and a palm-lined seaside promenade along the Adriatic Sea.

The town is famous for its stunning beaches with clean, crystal-clear water, its vibrant fishing port that remains the heart of local activity with fresh seafood restaurants, and its stunning architecture including the 16th-century Santuario della Madonna dello Splendore, an architectural gem with a colonnade and miraculous fountain.
