Hof Ter Saksen
Belgium, Belgium
Hof Ter Saksen in Beveren, Belgium, originated as a medieval farmstead and inn located on the key road between Antwerp and Ghent.
The historic castle standing today was built around 1804 in neoclassical style as a country house, following the demolition of the original structures in 1781. It is set in a beautiful estate with a large English-style park, an orangery, and an orchard that were added in the early 19th century. After decades of neglect, the property underwent restoration from 2004 onwards, reviving its architectural and natural beauty.
Its expansive grounds feature over 4,500 plant species in the arboretum, making it a unique blend of cultural history and natural heritage cherished by visitors and locals alike.
