Kasteel Den Dool, also known as Castle Ter Dolen, is a 16th-century water castle located in Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium, with origins going back to the Middle Ages.
It originally served as a summer residence for the abbots of the Abbey of Sint-Truiden and has a history marked by destruction and rebuildings until the 15th century. The current owner bought it in 1993 and transformed part of the estate into a brewery, producing traditional Belgian abbey beers such as Ter Dolen Blond, Dark, Tripel, Kriek, and others, including a unique dry-hopped blonde.
Visitors today can enjoy guided tours, tastings, and a welcoming café, making it a vibrant blend of historical heritage and contemporary craft brewing in a beautiful, green setting.
