Kasteel Torenhof
Brasschaat, Belgium, Belgium
Kasteel Torenhof in Brasschaat, Belgium, was built in the late 19th century in an eclectic style with neo-Renaissance elements and is surrounded by a large park featuring a pond.
Originally developed from a farm called Helhoeve, the estate was transformed into a noble court by Armand Reusens, who was mayor of Brasschaat in 1872. Over time, the property changed hands several times before being purchased by the community of Brasschaat in 1949, and since 1978 it has been managed as a public park.
The castle itself was converted into a restaurant and is also known for its appearance in the 2016 Tim Burton film "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." The site combines historic architectural charm with public recreational use, making it a notable landmark in the area.
